Do I have to pay a deposit with VWP Shortlease?

Deposit and the acceptance process

Are you a business customer, then we need the following; the signed agreement, an extract from the Chamber of Commerce, a copy of the person authorized to sign and a copy of the driver's license. Are you a private customer, then we need the following: the signed agreement, a copy of your driver's license and a letter from the bank or tax authorities showing your address details.

Based on information obtained externally, we then determine the amount of the deposit, which generally amounts to two monthly lease terms for a business customer with a minimum of €750.00. For a private customer, the deposit is two monthly lease terms with a minimum of €1000.00.

Our acceptance department works with a so-called traffic light model. We receive information about a possible collaboration through three colors. At a red light unfortunately, it is not possible to enter into a collaboration. At a orange light cooperation is possible but we ask for additional information or a higher deposit. At a green light the minimum deposit as stated above is requested.

We will NOT report to the BKR (Credit Registration Office) that you want to become or have become a customer with us.

If you no longer want to use our services and have logged out the car, we will settle or refund the deposit with you. In the case of a refund, this takes place 30 days after the final bill has been drawn up (we use these 30 days because after the car has been returned, unpleasant things such as fines may come in that we must settle with you).
