What's really included with Shortlease?

The term “all-inclusive” is often used, but what does it really mean when you short-lease a car? It's one of the most common questions we get, and for good reason. The fear of unexpected costs and fine print runs deep. You simply want to know where you stand and exactly what you pay each month for your mobility.

At VWP Shortlease, we believe in total transparency. Our contracts are based on full operational leasing, a concept designed to completely unburden you. For a fixed, competitive monthly fee, you can drive a young, representative car without the financial surprises that owning your own car can bring.

This is all included in your fixed monthly amount

When you conclude a short lease contract with us, we cover all costs directly related to owning and maintaining the car. Your only job? Drive and fill up (or load) yourself.

• Maintenance, repair & tires. All costs for regular maintenance in accordance with factory regulations are included. An unexpected repair? These costs are also at our expense. The same applies to replacing tires due to normal wear and tear. No more unexpected garage bills.
• All-risk insurance (WA + Full Casco). Every car is fully insured. This means that not only the damage you cause to others (WA) is covered, but also almost all damage to your lease car itself, even if it's your fault. That gives a sense of peace of mind.
• Road tax (vehicle tax). The payment of the road tax is fully provided by us. You won't receive a separate bill for this, so you don't have to think about it.
• Roadside assistance at home and abroad. Do you have a bad luck on the side of the road? Don't panic. Our roadside assistance is available 24/7 throughout the Netherlands and most other European countries, so you can be back on the road quickly.
• Replacement transport. Does a repair take longer than 24 hours? Then you are entitled to replacement transport. This way, you'll always stay mobile, no matter what happens.

Just to be clear: this is not included

Transparency also means being honest about the costs that are at your own expense. Fortunately, that list is a lot shorter and very logical.

• Fuel or electricity. You pay the costs for gasoline, diesel or electricity yourself. You decide how much you drive, but also how heavy your right foot is. This way, you have control over these costs yourself.
• Traffic fines. A fine for speeding or incorrect parking is of course borne by the driver. Because the car is in our name, we receive the fine and bill you for the amount.
• Deductible in case of damage. In the event of damage that is your fault and cannot be recovered from another party, a deductible applies. This is standard practice in the insurance world and the amount is clearly stated in your contract. So you always know where you stand.
